Hi, currently i'm planning to buy another PS2 fat, because mine is very loud with the network adapter installed. I was thinking about the v11 version, but i cannot find one. From what i've read, it was released only here in Europe, anyone knows more info about this version?, the new laser unit that people talk is just a new laser or anything related to MechaCon?

I'm quite new to this forum, I was pointed here by a friend as I had some questions about modding the PS2. Finally I feel like I came to the right place. Please bear with me and some really basic questions, as I'm not technically minded but always willing to learn.

Hello at all.finally i have installed popstarter for use psx game.vcd with ps2 loader.I have se compatibility list popstarter, for example Metal gear solid Special mission is blocked on screen insert disc PS1 after splashscreen Plasystation and too Dino Crisis blocked on spashscreen Playstation.

Item doesn't appear in FMCB menu
I have FMCB 1.966 PS2 FAT SPCH-50003 PAL. HDLGameInstaller copied to HDD0 "boot" folder then created menu item in FMCB settings.But new item doesn't appear in menu after restart. If I copy to MC0 and create link then it appears and run but with black screen. When I run it manual from HDDo folder over wLauncher then it works great. I don't know the reason of now showing link to app on HDD0. Maybe somekind of HDD initialization is needed ? I'm out of idea ![:(]( "Frown :(")

Laser Replacement
I have a V3 PAL PS2 (the one with 10 screws on the bottom), and I've been noticing that the laser has been slow reading DVD games. Regardless of the amount of scratches, it always takes 3 attempts from cold boot with the disk already inserted to auto-load (I can hear the laser clicking, trying to read the disk). And ingame, for example in San Andreas, the textures take forever to load, leaving a lot of blank spaces, especially while flying.

Not sharp edges in one PSX game over popstarter
Pro Evolution Soccer 2 runs great with 0x01 and 0x04 fix but I have problem with not sharp edges only in game- please see sample photo. Menu before I start match is OK. I'm not an expert but looks like VSync problem. In Pro Evolution Soccer 1 it doesn't affect - all is sharp and smooth. Is there a fix or function what I can try to apply ? Thank you in advance.

), I desoldered the "faulty" la6508 from the mo-bo (V9) and put the new one, and doesn't nothing. In fact, when I put this new la6508 and turn on, some fuses pop up.

Hi I have a Playstation2 of slim model SCPH 90004 which is modded (MATRIX INFINITY)
My laser disc is not working now , but i can play games using pendrive and ps2 memory card.
My question is i dont have ulaunchelf FILE browser to copy data from pendrive to ps2memory card and from memory card to pendrive

ESR doesn't work.
When I try to put in my burnt disc in, the ESR logo shows up then the screen is just black and doesn't flash with colors. What am I doing wrong? I patched the game with ESR patcher, I'm using Verbatim DVD-rs and I'm using a write speed of 4x. What is going on? How do I fix this?

My PS2 Slim is doing a lot of noise (I don't know and I'm afraid of opening it to clean it and/or replace the thermal pads) and after changing the original composite cables for component ones the TV screen flickers (it goes back and returns to normal) for some seconds (it does this a lot of times). RST alternative point of solder
I've installed mod 5.0 on SCPH-39004 PAL PS2. The ps2 start correctly without problems, but the modchip with the logo doesn't appear. I've broken the RST point of solder and I need to solder it. Where I can find an alternative for the RST? Thank you

I premise that I have some experience in translating, but only with pre-configured Tools (my programming level is zero).
Let me explain:
I have these 3 versions: FFX International original, FFX PAL (italian) and FFX International Undub (Japanise dubbing).
I'd want to:
1. replace japanise texts in both International versions with italian texts (so to have eng and ita texts)...
