VMC not working in OPL

So I enabled VMC, I created the VMC file (tried with OPLM, OPL and genvmc) and OPL seems to recognize everything as it should. VMC is detected, and what I use to create the VMC makes no difference. I thought the problem might be related to there being too many files, so I tried a version that uses the CFG-DEV folder (this one: https://www.psx-place.com/resources/automated-daily-build-system-for-opl-wle-fceumm-ps2.702/ ) and got the same results. PS2 doesn't read all discs

Hello all,

I have the problem that my PlayStation 2 isn't reading all discs (anymore). For example Burnout 3 Takedown doesn't work anymore, but Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty does work. Both are original games, not copies.

Does anyone know what the reason is of this?

PS2 Shuts off when loading HDD Modules

My PS2 FAT is shutting off every time it loads the HDD. I've tried two drives. Any suggestions? My network adaptor is Sony name brand.

Okay, so I've been trying to get my unmodded/unchipped SCPH-90001 2C (2012) Slim ps2 from 2008 to swap with the Cogswap disc - and twice I was able to do actually do it. I don't know why, but I just can't seem to do it again! I know it works because I actually did it twice, but now it just will not work anymore! I have even used multiple copies of the KH2 disc with the Cogswap boot file. Those are DVD-RW, but they just don't work! (The one that worked initially was DVD-R)

What I am trying...

How do you rebuild a DVD9 iso?

I am trying to rebuild a DVD9 iso for Xenosaga Episode 1 Undub. I have CD/DVD-ROM Generator and it has the option for dual layer but when you save the iml file it only saves one layer. So when you make the iso it is just one layer. I was able to make an iso file for both layers and then use the copy /b in command prompt to combine them into one iso but I am not sure if that is the proper way to do it.

hey everyone, i have a ps2 fat 30k model with a strange disc drive issue, the tray will not stay closed, here is a recording of the issue https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaJi...ature=youtu.be

i have tried swapping the drive with one from a working console, i have tried different ribbon cables and i have tried switching the power/eject buttons and still have the issue, i dont know what else to look at or what else to...

So i few month I bought a ps2 silver scph 50004, after made some repairs and a little of love (clean and new laser) the sound have some issues (in cd music and games) and maybe you guys, know If there is a capacitor or chip for check It.

I'm from Brazil and I don't speak the language.
I have a guitar for ps2 that came with the wrong buttons.
I can't play guitar hero because the menus don't allow changing the buttons.
is there a guitar hero that allows this exchange?
if not, is there any way to modify the iso for this purpose?

Hello, i ask how is the most fast method to transfer ps2 game disc or iso into hard drive ps2.I have tryed by lan but i have average speed about 1,2 Mb/s and by WinHIIP_V1.7.6 and i have average speed 2,1 MB/s .
It' s correct or have a more fast method.Thanks

Modbo 4.0 Installed - Can I boot games from a Hard Drive

Hi Guys,

I've recently modded my phat ps2 with a modbo 4.0 chip. All is well and working as it should just burning ISO files to disks. I could probably just continue to do so but now I have the modding bug I want to be able to boot off a hard drive using the network adapter.

I'm a complete noob really when it comes to this but since I have already installed the modbo do I still need to utilize a McBoot memory card or similar? Or is it possible to just use the modbo and install a hard drive...

Hello all,

It appears the HDD is outside, it's not connected to USB port, it uses that PS2 HDD expansion bay.

I saw a gray Matrix logo while while booting:

So that means I have Matrix modchip? There is HDLoader installed in the device. Don't have memory card at this moment.

Got an ethernet cable ready, what do I have to do to install games via FTP? I don't have a IDE to USB converter cable, so that option is off the table.

A Couple General PS2 Questions

is there a proper way to turn the slim off? like when you hold down the standby/power button it abruptly stops the disc from spinning. I think this is what's causing scratches on my discs. I don't notice them too much with cds, but I do with dvds. should I eject the disc first, then power off?

also, does anyone know a good, reliable dvd burner for ps2 games? I bought a bd burner a few months ago to test, and all I got were duds.

Hello everyone, I have a problem with an external hdd, when I start the game it goes to the browser, I'm not writing it wrong because if the same POPS folder of the HDD root copied it and passed it to a Pendrive the game starts correctly.

Hello at all, i have a ps2 90004 with modbo 760, for error i have setting video in vga and now have a black screen.If i holding press start to disable and reset ps2 start as original and read original game, but if i turn off and on i have a black screen beacause for error i have setting vga mode screen, and haven' t vga rca adapter.
There is a method for reset modbo 760 setting without see tv?

Hello have a ps2 slim 90004 with modbo 760 that load good e fast more game and backup too. But for example the game Everybody' s Tennis have a problem.When i put disc in PS2 game start to load, after i choose language and follow to load and arrive scrren with press start to play, but this screen image is freezed, and i can' t play.I need turn off PS2.The same backup disc work perfect in other ps2 with matrix infinity.I need change setting video or problem is other, but ps2 laser lens is ok...
