Anyone knows why Time Crisis 2 and 3 keeps giving me a black screen?

I've got an SCPH-39001. Time Crisis 2 and 3 won't work. The discs are detected and can be booted but only results to a black screen. I've tried booting them with OPL, both stable and beta, using HDD and SMB. Black screen as well. I read in one forum that it was about the motherboard. I have the same PS2 model. What's frustrating is Time Crisis Crisis Zone actually works. I've tried to boot the disc without any memory cards, used either PS1 or PS2 controllers, removed the network...
