is there an ftp server or some sort?

I'm looking for a convinient way to edit my FMCB stuff, update apps or just browse and replace files on the memorycard without having to use usb thumbdrive all the time and copy files back and forth via ulaunchelf.

is there a way to use a a file transfer method over network, such as ftp, sftp or some sort??
that would be much more convinient.
