So I have a 50000 series PS2 with an OEM network adapter. I bought one of the Bitfunx SATA mods for the adapter and installed it.
The PS2 wouldn't recognize the SATA HDD despite being wildly known as compatible.
I thought "oh well" and put back in the IDE ports and reinstalled my trusty IDE HDD... only now the PS2 won't recognize that HDD either. I triple checked every connection and inspected the pcb in the network adapter, everything looked good.
I thought maybe I somehow blew the DEV9...
PS2 Stopped Recognizing HDDs
