Using Laptop HDD as USB HDD for PS2?

I have this broken laptop that didn't boot, since it didn't boot at all i think "why not taking out the HDD and make it as USB HDD to play games on PS2?!" The usb thumbdrive that i have only have 16GB and that's not enough for games.

The question is, how to "transform i think?" that internal laptop HDD to external USB HDD so i didn't have to play with usb thumbdrive anymore?
