Controllers not working ingame

Hi,

I have a strange problem with my ps2. The Controller works fine in the menu, but once i start a game the controller stops working.

I tried multiple Controllers and PS2/PS1 games.
Since they dont work on ps1 games but work fine on my ps1 i dont think theres something wrong with my them.

Another thing i noticed is that i cant turn off the analogue mode when i boot a game. The PS2 has a modchip installed maybe theres a problem with that? I dont rly know anything about those and ive...
